BiographyAspasia Dania is an Assistant Professor at the School of Physical Education and Sport Science, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece, working in the field of Sport Pedagogy and Teaching in Physical Education. She is a teacher educator at an undergraduate and a postgraduate level and she is in charge of preservice PE teachers’ practicum in elementary and secondary education, as well as in sport clubs. She is a member of scientific committees and associations and a certified author and assessor of the new Physical Education (PE) curricula and teacher guides for the Greek middle and high school education. She has published 1 book and 8 chapters in edited and peer reviewed books on sport pedagogy and has presented numerous relevant works in international and national congresses. She has more than 25 publications in peer reviewed journals and 30 invited speeches and presentations in national Physical Education seminars and workshops, all the above in the subject areas of “Physical Education Teaching”, “Curriculum Planning”, and “Model-Based Instruction”. Her research interests focus on curriculum design, game-based instruction, social networking and critical pedagogy, as well as continuous professional development of PE teachers and coaches.
