I am an advocate of critical pedagogies and participatory action research and as such I have developed a Community of Practice (CoP) in collaboration with PE teachers and coaches who are interested in learning and implementing the principles of the TGfU approach. Within my country, both coach and PE Teacher Education programs adopt “sport-as-technique” instructional approaches and at a national level there is no formal education or training program drawing on the philosophy of TGfU. Therefore, my wish is to contribute to national and international discussions on the need of developing and establishing continuous professional development programs for PE teachers and coaches in my country through networking and PAR.
